Procedure Description

Nipple reconstruction is the final act of breast reconstruction, providing the final aesthetic result. It is performed under local anesthesia, using local flaps, grafts, or tattooing (for the areola).

Recovery Time

  • Nipple formation (C-V Flap or Star flap)

  • Micropigmentation (Tattoo) for the areola (at a later stage)

Complications

  • Tattoo fading (may need repetition)
